The presence of reality television has grown, and so has programming exclusively made for the Web. CNN.com is combining the two, with a new Web reality show that follows around two freshman congressmen.
The New York Times’ Brian Stelter writes about the new show, “Freshman Year.”
The “stars” of the show are Reps. Jared Polis, a Democrat from Colorado, and Jason Chaffetz, a Republican from Utah. “The two politicians are producing most of the content themselves by carrying video cameras on Capitol Hill and writing essays about their experiences,” writes Stelter.
The technology provided for the congressmen? HD Flip cameras.
TVNewser has the first video from the show.
