
Twitter fans, listen up: Web 2.Oh. . .really? reports that CNN’s Rick Sanchez will be debuting a dedicated Twitter channel called Rick Sanchez Direct, in what could turn out as an attempt to overload the micro-blogging site, if the following communication from Sanchez’s producer is any indication:

Some of the anchors over at CNN have already been putting Twitter on the air, particularly over the past week during Hurricane Gustav coverage. The report said that as of yesterday, Sanchez had 8,766 followers, and he follows 4,607 people. The new Twitter channel will launch this afternoon at 3 PM EST; you can find it at this link.
