Comic Book Buyer’s Guide Turns 40 & Gives iPad Users a Gift: Free Monthly eMagazine

The “Comics Buyer’s Guide” magazine has been in publication since 1971. For its 40th birthday, CBG has a gift for you if you have an iPhone or iPad. The magazine is available for free as an in-app download using iVerse Media’s Comic+ app.

Comic Buyer’s Guide Goes Digital

The current issue of CBG is 62 pages long and includes a several multi-page articles about DC’s Green Lantern character that was among this summer’s comic book based movie releases.

The Comics+ app is also free. It includes a store that provides in-app purchases of comics from a variety of publishers including Marvel, Image, Top Cow and Archie. The app also has a Comic Books news section that is updated daily. Tap the “More” button at the bottom of the app to launch a tool that helps you locate comic book shops by ZIP code.

The Comics+ app is a bit unstable on the iPad 2. It crashed a few times while navigating the app. The app can be found in the iTunes App Store at:
