Condé Nast Offers Paid Video-on-Demand from Golf Digest, The New Yorker Festival

Condé Nast is driving its way into the paid video-on-demand party, launching ongoing golf-instruction series Golf Digest on Demand and streaming live content from New Yorker Festival events, AdAge.com reported.

Golf Digest on Demand will feature young golf instructors providing instruction on a monthly basis for $9.99 per month, and it can be viewed online or via mobile devices such as the iPad and smart phones. AdAge.com reports that Golf Digest committed to at least three month with an eye toward expanding Golf Digest on Demand to a full year.

And The New Yorker is offering content that had been live-streamed from its New Yorker Festival for $4.95 per event or $59.95 for the entire package, according to AdAge.com. The New Yorker Festival was held this past Friday-Sunday.

Golf Digest editor in chief Jerry Tarde told AdAge.com:

For 60 years, our readers have come to us with three purposes: how to play, what to play, and where to play. Being able to deliver service content in video downloaded onto iPads, smart phones, and laptops is a natural extension of the brand.
