gaia_logo_indexpage.gifFacebook is too popular of a social networking site that it has become the mantra of web entities to develop a tool to integrate their web services/products into the Facebook universe. Facebook has become web 2.0′s Google. Everybody wants to have a piece of Facebook’s growing popularity. And what do you know, even a virtual hang out place such as popular Gaia online has joined the Facebook bandwagon.Gaia online, the fastest growing virtual hang out for teens (ala Second Life) has unveiled a new application that will connect Gaia members to their Gaia friends through the Facebook interface. Gaia has created a miniature version of the Gaia universe it made it as a Facebook application which Gaia members can opt to install on their Facebook profile.

With almost 3 million unique users on the Gaia universe and even if you reduced that number into half, Facebook would still have additional 1.5 million users unto its fold. Can you imagine the impact of this increase on Facebook’s user base? And with Facebook’s advertising program already in place, I could just imagine the ad revenues that Facebook will surely get from this additional user base. Mr. Z could be secretly smiling if not laughing by now.

If you are a Gaian and an active Facebook user, do yourself a favor and install the Gaia application on your Facebook profile. It would save you time when communicating with your fellow Gaians who are already in Facebook or are planning to create their Facebook accounts by now.

To start using the application, install the application into your Facebook profile (Hint: Just click on the link Gaian)
