MocoNews is reporting two bits of news for DVR junkies:

- Sprint and Time Warner Cable are running trials in three markets for a new Mobile Access service. It lets you stream video and music from up to 34 cable channels in real time. Plans are in the works to let you control your Time-Warner-issued DVR from your Sprint phone.

- Verizon Wireless is launching a service next week to let you control your TiVo from your Verizon phone for $1.99 per month. About a dozen handsets will work with the new service, according to this Reuters report. The service will not support DirecTV subscribers with the TiVo option.
