Crackle.com has launched COMA, an original seven-episode Web series that is designed to be experienced in a mobile environment, MediaPost reports. The first episode premiered on August 20th and starred Michael Madsen, George Hamilton and Paul Ben-Victor.
Sony Eletronics has sponsored the series; it will be distributed online via Cracke.com, Sony Pictures Entertainment, YouTube, Hulu, AOL, Adobe, and on mobile at AT&T and Verizozn’s V CAST mobile TV service. The report said that the series was shot with Sony high-definition cameras.
Last week, Fox International Channels announced that it was picking up Endemol’s “The Cell” made-for-mobile drama as its first online-only property. “The Cell” is also being distributed on Crackle.com.
