NBC Sports has turned to Crisp Wireless to build and manage its mobile Web site. The ad-supported, interactive site has everything a sports fan could ask of a mobile service – news, stats, real-time scores, player stats and news, injury reports, exclusive content from the Rotoworld fantasy league news site and more.
The idea behind the new site was to create a place that would appeal to both “casual sports fans and the fantasy sports enthusiasts,” according to Perkins Miller, senior VP of digital media for NBC Sports & Olympics. The network wanted “an easy-to-use interface that all users could enjoy, while also integrating the complex data feeds to provide the statistics that fantasy sports players require,” he said.
NBC Sports Mobile is available on-deck with most major carriers and can also be accessed via a cell phone’s Web browser (http://mobile.nbcsports.com) or by texting “SPORTS” to 51515 to have a link sent to the phone.
