More Businesses Are Storing Their Data in the Cloud [Infographic]

Cloud computing is a very attractive proposition to individuals and businesses alike by making data storage cheaper and more efficient. But just how many businesses are using the cloud? Cloud security service Perspecsys created an infographic to see just how IT professionals are using the cloud.

According to the infographic, 75 percent of organizations embrace the cloud, with 74 percent of organizations allowing employees to access corporate data from personal devices. The big challenge for organizations using cloud data storage is security. More than half of the information stored in the cloud is project management, another 24 percent is HR information.

With so many details for possibly sensitive projects and HR records, companies need to strengthen their security protocols. More importantly, they need to convey those protocols to employees. To see just how many companies lag behind in cloud implementation, view the infographic below.
