David PerezDavid Perez will be your eyes and ears and the Cannes Advertising festival and do anything you tweet to him in ‘David on Demand’, a social media experiment brought to you by Leo Burnett. David is creative recruiter at Leo Burnett and he really wanted to go to Cannes. His company is sending him there under one condition. He must wear web cam glasses and respond to any request tweeted to him at @DavidonDemand. And when we say any request, we really mean anything.

‘David on Demand’ launches on June 21st at Cannes and is sure to be a riot. The entire thing will be streamed live on the ‘David on Demand’ website. We can’t wait to see what people will ask David to do, whether it be jump in a fountain, eat snails, or make a fool of himself in other ways. Unfortunately, I have a feeling David won’t be getting to see much of the actual festival at Cannes so if you were expecting to sit in on the festivities you might be let down.

This thing is probably going to be huge. The ‘David on Demand’ website has only been live for a few days and David already has 443 followers on Twitter. ‘David on Demand’ reminds me of Burger King’s Subservient Chicken campaign, where a guy in a chicken suit stands in a room and does anything you tell him to do (within reason). But David and Leo Burnett are taking subservience to the next level by putting the subject in a very public place and promising to do literally anything that you ask of him.

Aside from being an exciting social media experiment, ‘David on Demand’ means big things for Leo Burnett. If this campaign blows up as big as we expect it will then the ad agency can look forward to huge things in the future.

Check out the video below, in which David explains how the project will work. What do you think of the whole ‘David on Demand’ idea? What would you ask David to do?
