Change is in the air for Nikki Finke, as her Deadline Hollywood Daily, which was acquired by Mail.com Media (MMC) in June, is relaunching as Deadline.com Friday, and, as reported by AllThingsD, Finke will also welcome a “well-known figure from established media.”
As for the relaunch, paidContent reports that the new site has a new back-end, improved navigation and search, more advertiser-friendly options, a jobs section and a premium section, and it will add verticals covering New York, London, Paris, Mumbai, Hong Kong and Sydney over the next year.
And as for the new employee, MMC CEO Jay Penske said the announcement about he or she will come soon, and he or she will be on board within two weeks.
