There seems to be a growing trend of preloading music on cell phones, with the latest being a deal between Sony Ericsson and Def Jam Records in the UK. The two have agreed to put music and videos from various Def Jam artists on a limited edition model of the W910i Walkman phone.
Def Jam sees the arrangement as an “interesting and relevant way” to reach its target audience in the UK, mocoNews reports.
In a similar type of deal, Samsung will be selling its F400 music phone in France preloaded with Madonna‘s upcoming “Hard Candy” album.
