Dell Blog Indicates AT&T Customers May Have to Wait a While for a Windows Phone 7.5 “Mango” Update [UPDATED]

Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) will be available in the U.S. within a few weeks. Microsoft said that owners of Windows Phone 7 devices can expect to see updates soon. However, based on the Dell Official Corporate Blog, Windows Phone users who are AT&T subscribers may have a longer wait.

Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) and the Dell Venue Pro

Dell states that people with the Windows Phone 7 based Dell Venue Pro phone which are either unlocked or locked models purchased through T-Mobile or Cincinnati Bell Wireless can expect to see 7.5 “Mango” updates “later this fall.” As for those who bought the Venue Pro through AT&T? Here’s what Dell says:

Regarding customers with AT&T-locked units, more information will be forthcoming. When I confirm definitive plans here, I will provide an update

[UPDATE] According to this item by WPCentral.com, this delay is specifically for Dell’s Venue Pro device. Other Windows Phone 7 devices on the AT&T network will start receiving updates on Sept. 27, 2011.
