A series of service outages around the US over the past couple of weeks doesn’t appear to have caused much of a problem – if any at all – for BlackBerry maker Research in Motion. The Ontario firm today upped its estimates for its fourth fiscal quarter, which ends on March 1.
Back in December, RIM forecast Q4 net subscriber additions at 1.82 million, according to Dow Jones Newswires via Cellular-news.com.
Today’s announcement pushed those estimates up by 15%-20%, or 2.09 million-2.18 million, which would give the company a year-end total of 14 million users.
RIM will announce official Q4 and year-end results on April 2.
