Did You Know the Samsung Galaxy S is the Fastest Android Phone?

If you were asked to guess what the fastest Android phone was, what would you guess? The Droid X? The HTC Evo? Maybe the Droid 2? How about the Samsung Epic (aka Galaxy S)? It would not have been one of my guesses. And, yet, Anandtech (which focuses on hardware) says:

Yes, however, the Samsung Galaxy S has what Anandtech calls the fastest GPU in any shipping smartphone: the PowerVR SGX 540. The GPU is the Graphical Processing Unit. And, as any desktop gamer will tell you, graphical processing can make all the difference in the perception of speed.
