Dish.jpgReuters reports that DISH Network might be mulling a mobile TV service. The speculation comes from the company’s unexpected win of a block of wireless spectrum in the FCC’s auction. According to the report, DISH’s $711 million bought it airwaves that can only be used for one-way communication, so no cell phone or messaging services.

This led some Wall Street types to figure that DISH must be thinking about mobile television. The spectrum DISH won “is best suited for broadcast,” Pacific Crest Securities analyst Steve Clement said in the article. “The assumption you’d make is that they’d set up some sort of mobile TV service.”

According to Reuters, Citi analyst Jason Bazinet put out a research note agree that a mobile video service is the most likely scenario.

Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
