Google+ is sitting at #8 as I write this (early in the day of July 21, 2011). One could argue that the Google+ for Android app was available the day Google+ became available in its limited public beta release phase and that this accounts for the lower interest level in the Android Market. However, take a look at the app at #2. That’s Facebook for Android. That app has been a available for a very long time and is being downloaded at an apparently greater rate.
