If you’ve ever downloaded an iPhone application that takes advantage of the phone’s accelerometer technology, you know how much fun it can be to shake, rattle and roll the device to make things happen.
Advertisers are finally getting that message. OMD and Razorfish have developed the first truly interactive, shakable iPhone ad for Dockers.
The innovative ad, dubbed Shakedown 2 Get Down, features “freestyle dance expressionist” Dufon dancing around the screen wearing a pair of Dockers Vintage Workwear Khakis. The ad is embedded in select iPhone games. When it appears in between levels of gameplay, users are prompted to shake their phone to get Dufon to dance.
Scheduled to run for four weeks, the ad can be found in such free iPhone apps as iBasketball, iGolf, iBowl and iTV.
