The Microsoft Office compatibility app market for the iPhone is getting really interesting. Quickoffice relesaed their Word and Excel editing suite earlier this year. And, now another well-known (mostly from the old Palm OS space) contender has emerged. DataViz provides two slightly different versions of their Documents to Go product…

Documents to Go (Microsoft Word editing & Desktop Sync) ($4.99 special price until June 30)

Documents to Go with Exchange Attachments (Microsoft Word editing, Exchange attachments & Desktop sync) ($9.99 special price until June 30)

Each can read and edit Microsoft Word files can view (only) Excel and PowerPoint documents. However, they note that a future free update will add Excel spreadsheet editing to match Quickoffice’s offering. Documents to Go’s introductory prices (good until June 30) are quite a bit lower than Quickoffice’s current $19.99 price. If you can live with Excel spreadsheet editing for a while, you might want to conduct some research to decide if Documents to Go can do the job for you at a lower cost.
