Melodeo, the company behind the nuTsie.com Web and mobile music service, has garnered the interest of another rocker apparently eager to see it succeed.
This week, Melodeo added Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver fame to nuTsie’s advisory board. “Working with nuTsie is a great opportunity to put my experience to work for one of the most viable new digital music models,” McKagan said. “This is also a chance for me personally to get more active in the business world, which is one of my long-term personal goals.”
Dave Dederer, a founding member of The Presidents of the United States of America, joined Melodeo as senior director of media services in January of last year after his own stint on the company’s advisory board.
NuTsie allows users to upload and listen to the tracks in their iTunes library on any Web-connected PC or mobile phone or through a Facebook app and share the music with friends.
