The Real Dunder Mifflin Is Crowdsourcing Its First Super Bowl Ad

Did you know that Dunder Mifflin is a real paper brand?  Yup!  Back in 2011, NBC Universal went into the office supply business, teaming up with paper company Quill to bring the paper from The Office to life.  And this year Dunder Mifflin is going live with their first Super Bowl advertisement—but they need your help!

Mashable reports that Dunder Mifflin paper has partnered with crowdsourcing platform Tongal to solicit pitches and videos for the company’s Super Bowl spot.  According to the rewards page, winning pitches will earn a $1,000 reward and the top three videos will earn $15,000, $6,000 and $2,000 respectively.

According to the project description on Tongal, “it’s your job to bring the Dunder Mifflin brand to the real world by making Tongal’s first-ever Commercial for THE BIG GAME.”

The first stage is the pitch phase.  Individuals can each make up to five pitch submissions by the very soon deadline of today, January 15, at 3:30PM.  A pitch package can include storyboards, concept photos, camera tests, your reel and, of course, a summary of your script.  If your pitch is chosen, you’re guaranteed to win a prize for your finished movie.  You can find more about the project requirements on Tongal.
