Duracell myGrid Gives You Wireless Charging at a Price – A Hefty Price

Duracell Smartpower myGrid unveiled

…gives a bit of info about Duracell’s myGrid wireless charging system set for an October release. Phonemag didn’t have prices listed in its article. However, a quick check over at Amazon shows the following prices:

- $84.99 Duracell myGrid Cell Phone Starter Kit. This includes a charge pad and one miniUSB Power Clip. One pad can charge up to four devices
- $36.49 Duracell myGrid Power Clip
- $36.49 Duracell myGrid Power Sleeve for iPod touch
- $36.49 Duracell myGrid Power Sleeve for BlackBerry Curve
- $36.49 Duracell myGrid Power Sleeve for BlackBerry Pearl

These purchases add up to a tidy sum if you decide to max out the charger’s capability by purchasing a starter kit and three extra Power Clips (or some combo with sleeves). It totals to $194.46. And, you still have to plug in a cable or use a sleeve.

All items have an October 12 availability date on Amazon.com. If my piggy bank isn’t broken by then, I might spring for a starter kit to see how well it works.
