Video game giant EA has added to its mobile catalog with the purchase of Hands-On Mobile Korea, which developed such games as Heroes Lore and World Poker Tour: Texas Hold’em 2.
Simply put, the acquisition will help EA gain a strong foothold in the Asian mobile game market. The plan is to rename the unit to EA Mobile Korea and grow the number of developers, Pocket Gamer reports.
The deal does beg the question of whether Hands-On is shifting its focus since it’s selling off one of its main development studios.
