To celebrate the board game Trivial Pursuit‘s 25th anniversary, EA Mobile plans to release a cell phone version of the game in the U.S., Europe, and Asia this coming winter, according to Mobile Entertainment.
The mobile version of the game will offer two separate modes. In the first one, called Classic Mode, players collect wedges and fill pies. In the second one, called Pursuit Mode, players will race to the finish line (presumably with some kind of online component).
The report said that the release forms part of Electronic Arts’ multi-platform strategy for the famous quiz game, which will also make its debut today on the Pogo.com casual Web games site and will appear for consoles this coming spring.
