FierceMobileContent reports that Electronic Arts announced an agreement with Eidos Interactive to land exclusive multi-regional mobile distribution and licensing rights for four Eidos games.
“Per terms of the deal, Electronic Arts’ EA Mobile unit gains all existing mobile channel and device rights to four of Eidos’ premier titles—Tomb Raider Underworld, Just Cause 2, California Games X and Minesweeper—with a future option on mobile incarnations of the majority of Eidos videogame properties for a period of three years.”
The company said in a statement that the Tomb Raider franchise alone accounts for sales in excess of 35 million units across all platforms, not to mention two full-length feature films.
