eBay Inc. and AEG announced that they have signed a deal to deliver sales of sports and music tickets and branded items using StubHub ticketing, PayPal payment and, in some cases, eBay Marketplace sales.
AEG owns more than 100 arenas around the world, including L.A.’s Staples Center, the Best Buy Theater in Times Square and The O2 Arena in London. The corporation includes AXS ticketing and the music merchandise company BandMerch.
Beginning in early 2013, StubHub will become the exclusive secondary ticketing solution for AEG venues and AXS Ticketing. PayPal will also become one of AXS Ticketing’s new methods of payment. And BandMerch will begin to extend its artist rosters to the eBay Marketplace.
The announcement also promises “further integrations … between eBay Inc.’s portfolio of businesses and AEG’s collection of assets.”
