eBay will make some changes to benefit larger sellers and allow them to peddle their goods in greater volumes, including altering its search function so that new products are favored, The Wall Street Journal reported.
The online-auction site will also allow sellers to add bigger pictures with their listings and more of them, as well as adding more categories to descriptions, such as “brand new,” “factory refurbished,” “used: like new” and “damaged.”
And sellers with little negative feedback from buyers will get “top-rated seller” status regardless of size, giving them a 20% discount on fees and preference in search results.
