The Empire Strikes Back May End On A Down Note, But Its Movie Trailer Is Still Awesome

If you didn’t catch the Clerks reference in the title of this post, we can’t be friends. Don’t worry. You have a chance to redeem yourself though. If you can identify the specifics of IG-88′s ridiculously insane plan from the Star Wars Expanded Universe all will be forgiven.

What? No? You don’t know what that is? Fine. We don’t have to be friends for you to enjoy this post. You know why? This is the original movie trailer for The Empire Strikes Back a.k.a. the only good Star Wars movie. Watch it, enjoy it, and share it with your friends because I promise you that for as long as you live you will never see a movie trailer for a new film that looks like this.

(And if you’re wondering, what does this have to do with what we post here at SocialTimes, you’re not paying close enough attention. It has everything to do with what we post about. Look at how the trailer tells a compelling story using so little. Now look at your computer and smart phone. Right now? You have better tools, information, and technology than they did to make this trailer. So there are no excuses for not making content that people are going to find unique and compelling. Look at this trailer, and look at what you have to work with. Then get to work.)
