…Engadget gives the long awaited Asus Eee PC T91 touch screen netbook a so-so lukewarm review. Given the detailed review, I can’t disagree with this assessment. However, here’s my thoughts on this touchscreen netbook situation…
- The T91 is a single touch device
- The T91 apparently uses a custom proprietary touchscreen driver and interface running under Windows XP
- Wait for the T91A which provides multi touch and requires…
- Windows 7 which natively supports a mutli touch interface
– If nothing else, the T91A with natively supported Windows 7 multi touch will have a better chance of long term support
- Rumors persist that Apple will introduce some kind of touch netpad this fall. Hope springs enternal
