Evernote’s $1 Billion Valuation, Tumblr Ads, and a New Magazine App [Podcast]

On today’s Morning Media Menu (MP3 link), GalleyCat editor Jason Boog joined me for a look at Evernote’s $1 billion valuation and Tumblr’s decision to bite the bullet and start selling ads – at $25,000 apiece.

We also discussed our new Web series, AppSlap. First up was a review of Next Issue, a magazine reader with a Netflix-style business model that adds multimedia to popular print titles like People and The New Yorker. (In reality, the business model is a little more like cable TV.)
