Matthew Miele’s upcoming film “Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf’s” is a window into Bergdorf Goodman’s rise from a small ladies’ tailor shop to a Fifth Avenue landmark that’s known for its over-the-top window displays.

Fittingly, the famed department store windows are also part of HIP GENIUS‘ social media campaign to introduce the film, which premieres on May 3 in New York City and stars fashion icons like Karl Lagerfeld, Oscar De La Renta, Vera Wang, Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Furstenberg, Georgina Chapman, Christian Louboutin, Linda Fargo, Betty Halbreich, and David Hoey.

On the official Facebook page for “Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf’s” is an interactive window dressing tool for you (and the rest of the film’s 20,000-strong fan base) to test your own design skills.  Here’s our exclusive first look:

You can select from different backgrounds, mannequins, and accessories to put in your window — all the pieces can be rescaled or moved throughout the frame. You can write new text in addition to the #GetScattered hashtag as well.

It’s not all window shopping, though. If you use your window as your Facebook cover photo, you could win a $500 Bergdorf Goodman gift card.

David Hoey, who designs the window displays, will be also posting an exclusive video for Facebook fans with his best decorating tips for inspiration.  Good luck!
