A helpful hint for college students: If you ever cheat on your exams and are wily enough to get away with it, you might want to avoid bragging about your exploits on Facebook. Two Belgian college students learned that lesson the hard way.

The two students received zero points for two courses after being caught exchanging answers during written exams, but they might have gotten away with it were it not for threads on Facebook mentioning that the cheating had been a recurring event and that the two students were proud of not being caught, TechCrunch reported.

The exam council at the university originally determined that conversations on Facebook could be used as evidence against the students. It later backtracked, but the damage had been done, as the two cheaters confessed.
