If you are an avid user of Facebook photos, you may have notice that some photos that you’ve uploaded before may not be displaying. Instead of properly displaying the photos, Facebook is displaying a question mark instead. That’s because Facebook photos have suffered from a minor outage the past few days.

According to the Facebook blog, this problem has affected 10 to 15 percent of current uploaded photos in Facebook. The problem was caused by some faulty hard drives when the Facebook team was conducting routine software upgrade.

Although Facebook was still unsure as to what really caused the failure, they however are reassuring Facebook members that all previously uploaded photos which got affected by the HDD failure are still intact and will be restored in the coming days.

As Facebook is still repairing some of their hard drives, you may have to halt your photo uploading activities for awhile, at least until the HDD drives were all repaired. But for those who have made photo uploading in photos part of regular social networking chores, you may still continue to do so as Facebook said that normal uploading activities would still work.

So, were you affected by the Facebook photos outage? Has uploading photos in Facebook already a part of your Facebook activities so much so that you got annoyed with the outage?
