Microsoft’s Facebook for Windows Mobile application was just released a few days ago. But, they’ve already released a 1.0.0.7p update to fix a problem where some people were seeing an install time error message that said:

cannot install due to insufficient privileges

Windows Mobile Facebook Application Update

I don’t use Facebook much. So, I didn’t rush out to install this app when it was launched. But, I decided to install this updated version on my HTC TyTn (touch screen Windows Mobile smartphone). The user interface looks nice. However, it appears to be so processor intensive that it overwhelms my smartphone. Activities take so long to update that my screen tends to dim and blank out before they complete. And, this is happening over a WiFi connection, not EDGE or 3G. I’ll try it again after I buy a new Windows Mobile phone with, I hope, a faster processor.
