While MySpace may be far and away the most popular social network in the U.S., that’s no longer the case on a global basis. TechCrunch reports that back in April, Facebook had already caught up to MySpace on the world stage. Now the worldwide comScore numbers are available for May, and “Facebook continues to blow past MySpace with 123.9 million uniques (up 6 percent), versus 114.6 million for MySpace (down 1 percent).”
Facebook also received 50.7 billion page views during the month of May, compared to MySpace’s 45.4 billion. MySpace demonstrated 2 percent growth during the period, while Facebook growth was flat, according to the report.
