Fill Up on Some ‘Choice Eats’ with The Village Voice, foursquare

The Village Voice and foursquare are dishing out some “Choice Eats,” teaming up to offer a special Choice Eats badge to users of the location-based mobile app who check in at five of the more than 80 restaurants in New York participating in the Choice Eats tasting events.

In addition, Choice Eats ticket holders who display the badge will receive special gifts at The Village Voice booth at the event, to be held March 29 at the 69th Armory.

Tickets to the Choice Eats event go on sale Jan. 26 and are priced at $70 for a VIP ticket — which includes line skipping and access to an exclusive VIP room one hour early, where they will enjoy fare from some of the restaurants — and $35 for general admission, for a limited time, after which the costs rise to $80 and $45, respectively.

Participants will include “Choice Streets” food-truck vendors Korilla BBQ Truck, Joyride Truck, Wafels & Dinges, and The Taim Mobile; “Choice Sweets” dessert vendors The Good Batch, Del Posto, Kumquat Cupcakery, Liddabit Sweets, Alice’s Team Cup, and Babycakes NYC; and restaurants Caracas Arepa Bar, Del Posto, Kashkaval, Luke’s Lobster, Maima’s Liberian Bistro & Bar, Nicky’s Vietnamese Sandwiches, Northern Spy Food Co., O Lavrador Restaurant, Ofrenda, Porchetta, Resto, Satay Junction, Spicy Bampa, Takashi, The Meatball Shop, and The Vanderbilt.
