Find My Phone App Finally Comes to Android, Thanks to Google

device managerGoogle’s Device Manager, similar to Apple’s Find my iPhone. When Google launched its Device Manager service, the company made it a web-only application, which, makes a lot of sense, but also made it a lot more difficult to locate. Smartphone users are accustomed to finding things in the Play Store, so now, it’s finally here.

Ever misplaced or lost your phone? Android Device Manager locates lost devices and helps you keep your device—and the data inside it—safe and secure. Android Device Manager lets you:

● Locate Android devices associated with your Google account
● Reset your device’s screen lock PIN
● Erase all data on the phone

The app and the web service offer the same thing for one account – even if you have multiple devices. Once connected, you’ll be able to see your phone or any other Android device on a map, see when it was last use, ring it, and even lock and wipe the device.

If you’ve lost your phone, it’s easy to log into Google from your home machine to find your missing pieces.
