Wired recently launched a contest called Vanish, encouraging readers to use reporter Evan Ratliff‘s Twitter and Facebook accounts to locate Ratliff, with the first person sending his editor a photo taking home $5,000. The only problem: Ratliff’s Twitter account (@theatavist) was suspended for “strange activity,” CNET reported.
Twitter did not respond to CNET’s request for information on why the account was suspended.
Readers can still use another Twitter account that was created for the contest (@EvansVanished), as well as Facebook account The Search for Evan Ratliff.
