Fitness Taps Christie Griffin from Cosmopolitan as Digital Director

Christie Griffin left the world of fashion for the world of Fitness, joining the magazine as digital director after serving as senior Web editor for Cosmopolitan.

At Meredith-owned Fitness, she will oversee editorial efforts and help to execute brand strategy across all digital platforms, including mobile, apps, and tablet editions.

While at Cosmopolitan, she led editorial efforts to relaunch the Web site in 2007, and Griffin was part of the team that created Cosmo Mobile. Prior to that, she was a Web editor at CosmoGirl.

Fitness editor-in-chief Betty Wong said, “We are thrilled to welcome Christie to the Fitness team. Her extensive background in the Web space will definitely bring new energy, ideas, and innovative thinking to our digital properties.
