Flickr Redesigns iPhone App, Adds Instagram-Like Filters

In an era of Instagram, Yahoo’s photo-sharing social network Flickr is trying to stay more relevant with a totally redesigned its iPhone app.

The app lets users take photos with the app’s camera or pull photos from your iPhone’s photo albums and then change them up with new filters. The filters are named after animals such as panda, flamingo, and toucan but look similar to the faded, sepia or saturated image filters you’d find in Instagram.  The tool also includes photo editing features and the ability to geographically tag where you took a photo.

You can sign in with an existing Flickr account or with their Facebook accounts. The app lets you browse photos which are hosted in full high resolution quality. In addition, you can share photos with your Flickr groups and via Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr or email.
