TVNewser has been documenting the different stages of FoxNews.com’s Strategy Room for months, from election night destination to politics-themed Web show to its new, broader schedule.
Now others are profiling the program. The New York Times’ Saul Hansell describes the show as “ABC’s ‘The View’ mixed with a dash of Rush Limbaugh and a generous helping of ‘Wayne’s World.’
VP Mike Straka, in charge of video for Foxnews.com, said, “As long as we don’t make it look like TV, I’ll be happy.”
He also talks about the smart business of the Web-only product. “The economics of Web video are not there yet,” he said. “That is why a low-budget operation like what we have is a win-win for everybody.”![]()
