The technology is still in its early stages (In recent trials, rabbits wore lenses containing metal circuit structures for 20 minutes at a time with no adverse effects) and is working with an 8-by-8 matrix of LEDs. Then, there’s the problem of creating an optical subsystem that actually lets you focus on images being created on the surface of your eye.
