
Buzzwire, the mobile Web content company, announced that Greg Osberg, who most recently was president and worldwide publisher of Newsweek, has joined the firm as its new CEO.
The company said in a statement that Osberg will help lead the company in capitalizing on the recent explosive growth of the mobile Web. The company’s founder and former CEO, Andrew MacFarlane, will stay on as chairman and chief product officer and continue to drive product strategy and delivery.
Buzzwire is based in Denver, CO. and has powered Verizon’s m.vcast as well as viral video services for AT&T and Alltel.
