Former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf on BBC World News America: I Am Popular, Facebook Says So

Pervez Musharraf, former president and military ruler of Pakistan, brought up Facebook during an interview with BBC World News America anchor Matt Frei on his plans to run for office again.

The exchange between the two men, after Frei suggests that Musharraf might not be popular:

Musharraf: I think that is very wrong. I am popular. I know I am popular.

Frei: How do you know that?

Musharraf: Well, I have a good assessment. I have a good assessment from the Facebook that I have.

Frei: Well, you’re basing your popularity rating on the number of hits you’ve had on your Facebook site?

Musharraf: No, this is one indicator.
