Your New Year’s holiday weekend was not nearly as exciting as Dennis Crowley’s. The Foursquare co-founder kicked off 2013 by proposing to his girlfriend, Chelsa Skees, while vacationing at Playa Tamarindo beach in Costa Rica.
The two announced their engagement on Twitter earlier today:

Skees, who is a fashion stylist in New York City, followed up with a picture of her engagement ring.
