FOX News Channel just launched a media news site tailored for the Apple iPhone. Often that just means they took advantage of the iPhone’s increased screen resolution (480×320) and made the interface touch-screen friendly.
But in this case, FOX went further:
- Every video available on FOXNews.com can be viewed on the iPhone;
- Streaming video automatically resizes depending on whether or not your iPhone is in a WiFi hotspot (which is fast) or using AT&T’s EDGE network (which is numbingly slow);
- Readers can search FOX News’ story archive right from the iPhone.
To visit the site, key in iphone.foxnews.com on your iPhone’s Web browser.
