Free Evernote Service Users Can Now Attach Any File Type from Desktop or Mobile

Evernote’s free cloud notes services and free apps for a number of mobile platforms has always been a great productivity tool and a great deal. Evernote’s $45 per year premium service adds a number of features over and above what the free service offers. One of these premium features just made the move to the free service.

Evernote Removes File Type Restrictions for Free Accounts

This means that users of the free service can attach files of any type to an Evernote note. Users of the free service have a few limitations compared to premium service users.

- Free users can make a single note up to 25MB in size and can upload up to 60MBs of new stuff every month.
- Premium users can make a single note up to 50MB in size and can upload up to 1GB of new stuff every month.

Attachments can be made using the web interface, desktop software and mobile apps (Android, BlackBerry, iOS and webOS).
