Fund-Raising via LinkedIn

GoshidoLogo.jpgLimerick-based project-management-software company Goshido raised €162,500 in funding in just eight days, using only LinkedIn, according to The Irish Times.

Executive chairman Frank Hannigan told The Irish Times the company is selling 10 2% pieces in the company to investors at €25,000 apiece, and emails were sent to potential candidates via the professional-networking site, adding, “I’m blown away by it, and it gives the lie to people who say social networking is just about Facebook.”

Goshido’s Web-based application breaks a project into actions and updates people can use to create a scalable plan, allowing team members to put their work in perspective while giving project managers a dashboard on all activity, according to The Irish Times.
