Gabriel Snyder to Take the Helm at The Atlantic Wire

The Atlantic Wire, the news-aggregation digital arm of The Atlantic, will now be run by someone with quite the hefty résumé: Gabriel Snyder, who has served as head of Newsweek‘s Web site, editor-in-chief at Gawker, and a contributor to Variety and W, as reported by Brad Wellen at sister blog FishbowlNY.

Snyder will be based on Madison Avenue and will add 15 new hires to work under him, FishbowlNY reported, adding that his duties will include compiling real-time news stories and laying out headlines for The Atlantic Wire.
