Gagaville: Zynga Launches Virtual Farm with Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga never ceases to amaze her public, which she calls her “little monsters” and in seven days, her latest surprise will be to become a new neighbor to Zynga’s Farmville.  ”Gagaville” will be added as the new playable world, allowing players to listen to new songs from Gaga’s album “Born This Way,” which hits the streets May 23, 2011.

Each day, over 12 million people play FarmVille, which means it’s Facebook’s most popular game. The deal made with Zynga will attract Gaga’s “little monsters” where they can play and listen to her songs. One can only imagine what the increase of traffic will do for Farmville.

The GagaVille farm will be supervised by Zynga’s developers. The scheme is to deck out the game with quirky singer’s regalia like crystals, unicorns and sheep on motorcycles. “Little monsters” will be able to stream songs from “Born This Way,” after they complete certain tasks in the game. Another cool thing, those who buy a $25 gift card at Best Buy stores to play Zynga’s games will be able to download the album for free. The players from FarmVille will be able to visit the new game starting May 17, 2011.

This isn’t the first time Zynga and Gaga teamed up. The two worked together in March when Gaga donated $1.5 million to Zynga’s Japanese relief efforts after the historic earthquake and tsunami struck Japan. Zynga’s raised more than $3 million.
